In the first 8 months of 2022, the whole country exported over 1.23 million tons of fertilizers of all kinds, equivalent to 791.97 million USD.

The average fertilizer export price reached 644.9 USD/ton, increased sharply by 41.4% in volume, 167.9% in turnover and 89.4% in price compared to the first 8 months of 2021.

Particularly in August 2022, the whole country exported 117,973 tons of fertilizers of all kinds, reaching US$70.57 million, priced at US$598.2/ton, up 4.7% in volume, but down 6% in turnover and down 10 .3% in price compared to July 2022; Compared to August 2021, the volume, turnover and price increased sharply, with an increase of 41.5%, 117.5% and 53.7% respectively.

The main export market of Vietnam's fertilizer is still Cambodia. According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, the Cambodian market accounted for 27.5% of the total volume and accounted for 22.9% of the total fertilizer export turnover of the country with 337,478 tons, equivalent to 180.4 million USD. USD, the average price was 534.6 USD/ton, down 7.8% in volume, but up 34.9% in turnover and 46.2% in price compared to the same period in 2021. Particularly in August, 2022 exports. to this market increased by 22.8% in volume, 44.7% in turnover and 17.8% in price compared to July 2022, reaching 39,735 tons, equivalent to 20.1 million USD.

A large fertilizer exporter to Cambodia is Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company. Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, said that in 2022, the export volume of fertilizer is expected to decrease by 40%, partly due to the high price of fertilizer, so Cambodian farmers switch to using organic fertilizers. cheaper fertilizer. In addition, with the current high fertilizer price, the problem of fake fertilizer and poor quality fertilizer is complicated in the Cambodian market, making it difficult to consume Binh Dien fertilizer even though the company has reduced by 10%. Export price. Therefore, Binh Dien's fertilizer export this year is expected to be only about 70% of that in 2021.

Currently, Binh Dien is also looking for alternative export markets such as Laos and Myanmar to offset the declining export volume to Cambodia.

The second is the Korean market with 84,493 tons, equivalent to 63.17 million USD, the average price is 747.6 USD/ton, a sharp increase of 427% in volume, 1.385% in turnover and 181.8% in price, accounting for over 7% of the total volume and 8% of the total fertilizer export turnover of the country.

Third, the Malaysian market reached 105,677 tons, equivalent to 54.8 million USD, the average price was 518.6 USD/ton, up 59.3% in volume and 287.7% in turnover, the price increased by 143.3%. , accounting for 8.6% of the total volume and 6.9% of the total turnover.

Fourth, the Philippine market reached 62,877 tons, equivalent to 48.97 million USD, the average price was 778.9 USD/ton, a sharp increase of 92% in volume, up 328.5% in turnover, the price increased by 123%, accounting for over 5% of the total volume and 6% of the total turnover.
